This pleasant 20 year old female was self-conscious because of her small breast size, 34 A. She wanted to be more proportional and wanted to be a 34 C cup. Round, saline-filled breast implants, each with a volume of 400 mls., were placed underneath each pectoralis muscle using an incision in the breast fold. The photograph was her early result at six weeks. She is now a 34 C cup. The incision is healing nicely and will continue to improve over the next several months. Very rarely, a patient who undergoes breast augmentation can develop stretch marks immediately after the procedure. If you look closely at the breast skin inside the areola, you can see very faint stretch mark on both breasts. One successful way to treat this is the use of the prescription cream, topical tretinoin.
