This 27-year-old female was interested in both body contouring and breast enhancement in St. Louis. Like many of our patients, she found us through the Internet. She had three healthy children and did not plan to have any more. She had lost thirty pounds over the past year, which had caused a significant difference in the size and shape of her breasts. Her right breast was much smaller than the left breast. She was happy with the volume of the left breast and wanted to create a larger right breast. More importantly, she was not pleased with the shape of the breasts and the fact that the nipples were displaced in an outward direction. During my exam at her consultation I noted that she had a slight deformity of the ribcage and the sternum. A combination of breast re-shaping and implants were used to address this complex case. At the time of surgery, both breasts were lifted and reshaped. The nipples were repositioned toward the center of the chest. Textured silicone gel breast implants were placed on each side. The implant placed on the right side was approximately 350 cc and the implant on the left side was approximately 250 cc. Additional shaping was performed on the right breast to change it from a narrow breast to a more round, naturally appearing breast. Four months after the St. Louis breast enhancement surgery, she is happy and doing well. She is now a 34C in both breasts. She is pleased with the shape and the symmetry, but in the future states that she may want to have larger implants. Her scars are still quite red, and these will improve over the next several months. She is using scar therapy to help improve the appearance of the scars.
