This 32-year-old woman was interested in breast augmentation in St. Louis. She had two children and did not plan to have any more. This was an important factor because additional pregnancies after surgery can cause undesirable changes in breast appearance. She had mild breast ptosis and loss of volume in both breasts, in addition to some asymmetry. Breast enlargement alone would not properly address her cosmetic concerns and help her achieve a more youthful breast contour. Instead, I combined her augmentation with a breast lift, also known as a mastopexy. A circumareolar mastopexy was performed to elevate the nipple-areolar complex. This patient chose to have round, textured, silicone gel implants placed under the pectoral muscle.
