LASER SKIN TREATMENTS
Pixel® Laser
Pixel skin resurfacing improves skin texture and tone, smoothes wrinkles, and diminishes brown spots. It is also used to improve scars, including acne scars. In short, this procedure erases those factors that add years to our appearance, restoring youthful vitality.
Laser skin resurfacing, like chemical peels, dermabrasion and microdermabrasion, are commonly used to restore the youthful appearance to wrinkled, sun-damaged skin. AFT 540 Pulsed Light for Pigmented Lesions
Cosmetic flaws may be caused by heredity, medication, pregnancy or environmental factors. Yet most brown pigmented lesions are ideal candidates for non-invasive AFT 540 pulsed light treatments. A wide range of pigmented lesions like freckles, brown age spots, brown birth marks, brown pigmentation from pregnancy or hormones can be safely and effectively treated with AFT 540 pulsed light. Other skin conditions that can be improved by AFT 540 include acne, vascular lesions, spider veins, skin rejuvenation, fine lines and wrinkles, and scars.
How does AFT pulsed light technology work? AFT’s selective pulsed light energy is precisely absorbed by the target areas without damaging healthy skin. With pigmented lesions, the light energy heats the melanin in the lesion and cases it to fragment. The melanin fragments are then absorbed by the body and eliminated. By proving smooth, consistent light pulses, the energy delivered to the skin is gentle and effective.

PEELS
Genesis offers peels that are specifically formulated for your skin and clinically proven to achieve results. While the superficial peels are performed by our medical esthetician, the intermediate and deep peels are performed by our board certified plastic surgeons. Superficial Peels
MicroPeel Plus: This uniquely formulated product containing salicylic acid. It loosens the bond of dead cells on the surface of the skin, revealing new cells underneath. It stimulates the new living cells in your skin to reactivate the renewal process. The result is smoother, more radiant skin with a new vitality.
MicroPeel: This three step process involving physical exfoliation or dermaplaning, an alpha-hydroxy acid application and then cryogenic therapy. This final light freezing process causes an anti-inflammatory response, removes sun-damaged cells unblocking your pores and smoothes your skin.

Intermediate Peels
TCA Peel: This intermediate peel is the most effective peel performed in the office without anesthesia. Patients looking to get a more noticeable improvement in skin pigmentation, texture, and smoothness in one treatment find this peel very effective and without a lot of downtime. The peel is applied by the physician and can be customized by applying single or multiple layers. These peels can be repeated every 6 weeks.
Deep Peels
Phenol Croton Oil Peel: The phenol croton oil peel is a deep peel that produces a dramatic improvement in wrinkles, skin texture and pigmentation. While these peels have been used since the 1960′s, more recently these physician-administered peels have been modified to maximize their results and minimize risks. These peels require anesthesia and have a healing time for 7-12 days.
MICRODERMABRASION
Crystal free microdermabrasion effectively and gently removes the uppermost layer of skin, encouraging collagen and elastin renewal. Crystal free microdermabrasion allows us to get closer to the eye to treat fine lines around the eye without concern that crystals might enter the eye. This is an effective and popular treatment for fines lines and wrinkles, acne, acne scars, sun-damaged, and enlarged pores. We recommend the 5 treatment series. Results are even more dramatic when combined with Obagi skin products and peels.
DERMABRASION & CO2 LASER
Dermabrasion and the CO2 laser are aggressive resurfacing procedures. Both of these methods remove the most superficial layer of skin, the epidermis, and part of the deeper layers of skin, the dermis. Dermabrasion utilizes a high-speed rotary wheel to achieve this while the CO2 laser use a laser beam to vaporizes the skin. Since these methods extend into the dermis, their capacity to remove deeper wrinkles and scars is superior to other methods. These procedures require some type of anesthesia. Immediately after the procedure the deep layer of the skin is exposed, and it takes 7-10 days to heal.
FACIALS
Deluxe Facial: This glorious, deep cleansing and renewing facial begins with a through cleansing and is followed by a direct skin exfoliation treatment called derma-planing. Next an exfoliating enzyme mask is applied and followed by extractions and a therapeutic massage of the face, neck, and shoulders. A custom mask, which is formulated for your individual skin needs, is then applied to hydrate, calm, and purify your skin. Afterwards a Vitamin C serum is applied, followed by a soothing Bio2 Oxymist, which is combined with amino-plex compounds that heal and rejuvenate the skin. Finally, a personalized moisturizer and sun screen is gently applied to finish your soothing facial.
Corrective Facial: This intense, deep cleansing facial focuses on extracting impurities from the skin and is highly effective for acne-prone skin. It begins with a gentle massage, enzyme exfoliation, and extractions of blocked pores. Next a mask, customized for your skin, is applied. As the final step, a Vitamin C serum is applied, followed by a soothing Bio2 Oxymist, which is combined with amino-plex compounds that heal and rejuvenate the skin.
