The percentage of Americans who are obese and morbidly obese is at an all time high and still rising. Teenage obesity is increasing so rapidly that in 2040, it is predicted that average life expectancy will start to decline.
With the increasing number of obese and morbidly obese people, more people are seeking bariatric surgery as a permanent solution to the problem. Bariatric surgery has been shown to significantly reduce death and disease that results from being morbidly obese.
